Plot summary:
in the universal century 0001, earth's population is at 9 billion man kind is forced to live in gaiant space cllonies orbiting the earth, "where people are born, raised....& die." universal century 0079, a group collonies farest from earth known as side 3 proclaimed it self the principality of ZEON & launched as all-out war on the Earth Federation. 4 months pass & both sides see 1/2 their forces die, man kind is horrified at the atroceties commited in the name of independance. the story revolvs around 15 year old Amuro Ray & his fateful encounter with what might be the Earth Federation's only hope at wining the 1 year war, the proto type Mobile Suit unit: RX-78-2 Gundam & the newest class of war ship: Trojan Horse (A.K.A. the White Base), his rivalry with the mystrious & fearsome Char Aznable "the Red Commit" & another fateful encounter with a mysterious woman LaLa Sune. They all tie into each other through this war.....which consequently lasts for 8 SEASONS!!! (0079, 08th MS team, Gundam Blue Destiny, 0080, 0083, Gundam Zeta, Gundam ZZ & 0093 Char's Counter Attack) This is the classic mecha anime of japan & is also their equivilent to our Star Wars, Startreck & Stargate.
